This accredited course focuses on giving our candidates all the necessary skills needed to teach their students how to think and function in English. Each student will receive a book pack, which contains an EFL (English as a Foreign Language) course book, literature and job contacts.

During the weekend our candidates get to experience lessons first as a TEFL student and are then encouraged to develop their own lesson plans, and eventually teach a class using their own methods. Over the course the students will gain practical knowledge in the classroom with two teaching practices giving first hand knowledge and techniques, which the student will be able to try out for themselves. After their final teaching practice, all candidates will be given a written assessment highlighting their strengths and weaknesses.

But the TEFL course doesn't stop there. Advice is given on which publications are available to assist and help students with teaching. There will also be an introduction to Part Two of our accredited TEFL course - Distance Learning. Details of current vacancies and contacts overseas will also be made available to all candidates, with information on newspapers and other media that are advertising any TEFL opportunities.

All of our courses are held at top quality hotel and conference facilities in major towns and cities throughout the UK, with easy access by bus, train or car. Unfortunately, accommodation, refreshments and parking costs are not included in the course fee.
