A Letter from Drew Talbot
Dear Sue,
Italy is great! I really am enjoying teaching English out here. My students, whose ages range from 17 to 55, are all very pleasant, and keen to learn. Even the beginners have a very good grasp of English grammar, and can hold basic conversations. Teaching them is great fun!
I am teaching at the British Institute in Cremona, which is near Milan. All the staff have been helpful and supportive, especially when I first arrived. They made me very welcome.
My accommodation, which has been provided by the British Institute, is excellent. I have a flat close to the centre of town, so it's just a short walk to where all the 'action' is! The cost of living is not too bad, and I cook most of my meals at the flat. So thanks once again Sue for all your help and advice.
Going on your TEFL intensive weekend has opened up a whole new world for me. And please tell any of your teachers who are considering work in Italy, that it is a wonderful place to live and teach, ...especially if you like pasta!
Take care Sue. Regards,
Drew Talbot
