Rachael Clarke has been teaching English as a foreign language since 1989 in the UK, Spain, Italy and Vietnam.

In Italy she designed and taught a total immersion business English course and supervised a computer assisted learning programme.

In Vietnam she designed and ran EEC funded teaching training courses and was Director of Studies in Lotus College, Ho Chi Minh City. Also in Vietnam she instigated and organised a volunteer teaching programme for street children and social workers.

Rachael is a teacher of English as a foreign language at all levels for general, business and special purposes, preparing students for relevant exams and for university entry. She has worked as a Course Director and Area Manager for UK summer schools and has experience in recruitment, interviewing and in service training of TEFL teachers.

Rachael is currently working in a freelance capacity as:

An examiner for Trinity College London and the IELTS exam (for university entry)
A teacher of Business English and as a tutor for English for Academic Purposes at Bristol University.
Materials writer for an ongoing distance learning course for non-native speaker teachers of English and for EFL web sites.
A tutor on teacher training courses for non-native and native speaker teachers

I love spending the incredibly intensive time with people on the weekend course, helping them to learn then later hearing about their new teaching jobs.
